Welcome, we are here to help you as you settle into life in Darien! One of the first things you may want to consider is signing up for the biweekly Town Newsletter. You must opt-in to receive it via email the Newsletter. It's a terrific way to learn about what is happening in the community.

Code Red

A town-wide emergency notification system. To sign up for important notifications visit the Code Red website.

Emergency Notifications Call List

We maintain an Emergency Call List with the names of vulnerable seniors and disabled individuals to be contacted prior to a storm or other emergency for re-assurance and peace of mind. Staff will also provide information on resources available in the community such as Emergency Shelters or Cooling Centers. If you or someone you know would like to be added to the Emergency Call List, please call the Human Services department or email the Human Services Director, Ali Ramsteck, LCSW.

Dog Licenses

Register to Vote

Purchase a Beach Sticker

Beach Stickers are available through the Parks and Recreation office. View the Purchase Beach Sticker page for information.

Purchase a Recycle Center Permit (Dump Pass)

First time permit purchasers must provide registration for each vehicle, proof of residency, and proof of garbage hauler if applicable. The Public Works Department is located in Room 208 of Town Hall, and may be reached at a 203-656-7346 if you have additional questions.

Youth Services

Provides a variety of activities, including TOPS programs for middle school students and summer camp programs. View the Darien Youth Commission page.

Senior Programs at the Mather Center

Senior Programs are designed to entertain and educate registered senior citizens. The opportunity to purchase lunch on weekdays is also provided. To register go to the Senior Programs Page.

Train Station Parking

Downtown Parking
