The most recent amendments to the Regulations are as follows:

Amendment #22: regarding the Allen O'Neill development. (took effect March 29, 2009). 

Amendment #23: regarding Single-Family Open Space Developments (took effect April 12, 2009). 

Amendment #24: regarding Blade Signs (took effect April 19, 2009). 

Amendment #25: regarding Inclusionary Zoning (took effect May 31, 2009). 

Amendment #26: regarding Stormwater Management (took effect June 7, 2009). 

Amendment #27: regarding increase in State fees (took effect October 1, 2009). 

Amendment #28: regarding flood regulations (took effect May 30, 2010). 

Amendment #29: regarding the Noroton Heights Redevelopment Zone (took effect October 24, 2010)

Amendment #30 regarding Subsection 586 of the Inclusionary Housing Regulations (took effect November 28, 2010)

Amendment #31 regarding Appendix B--Land Use application fees was approved by the RTM on March 21, 2011 and takes effect on Sunday May 1, 2011.

Amendment #32 regarding Subsection 922 regarding temporary real estate signs was approved by the Planning and Zoning Commission on March 22, 2011 and took effect on Sunday, June 5, 2011.

Amendment #33 regarding 599 Boston Post Road Memory Care Facilities was approved by the Planning and Zoning Commission on June 7, 2011 and took effect on Sunday June 26, 2011. 

Amendment #34 put forth by Post Road 11, LLC--SB Zone and parking amendments-- was approved by the Planning and Zoning Commission on June 28, 2011 and took effect on Sunday, July 24, 2011.

Amendment #35 put forth by Baywater 745 BPR, LLC--was approved by the Planning and Zoning Commission on November 22, 2011 and took effect on Sunday, December 18, 2011.

Amendment #36 put forth by Baywater 745 BPR, LLC--was approved by the Planning and Zoning Commission on June 26, 2012 and took effect on Sunday, July 15, 2012.

Amendment #37 put forth by the Darien Junior Football League (DJFL)--was approved by the Planning and Zoning Commission on July 24, 2012 and took effect on Sunday, August 5, 2012.

Amendment #38 put forth by the Darien Planning & Zoning Commission -- was approved by the Planning & Zoning Commission on March 26, 2013 and takes effect on Sunday, April 14, 2013. 

Amendment #39 put forth by the Darien Planning & Zoning Commission -- was approved by the Planning & Zoning Commission on June 11, 2013 and took effect on Sunday, June 30, 2013. 

Amendment #40 put forth by the Tokeneke Club, Inc. -- was approved by the Planning & Zoning Commission on November 12, 2013 and took effect on December 29, 2013.

Amendment #41 put forth by the Darien Planning & Zoning Commission -- was approved by the Planning & Zoning Commission on November 26, 2013 and took effect on December 29, 2013.

Amendment #42 put forth by the Darien Planning & Zoning Commission--was approved by the Planning & Zoning Commission on February 25, 2014 and took effect on March 9, 2014....a temporary moratorium related to medical marijuana dispensaries and production facilities.

Amendment #43 was put forth by Christopher and Margaret Stefanoni and was approved by court decision.  This establishes the Leroy-West Affordable Housing Overlay Zone.  It took effect in 2012.

Amendment #44 put forth by Penelope Glassmeyer -- was approved by the Planning & Zoning Commission on October 7, 2014 and took effect on Sunday October 26, 2014.  It establishes a Active Senior Residential Overlay Zone.

Amendment #45 was put forth by Knobel Hill, LLC (COZR #1-2015)--was approved by the Planning & Zoning Commission on June 23, 2015 and took effect on July 12, 2015.  It revises Section 436b of the Regulations

Amendment #46 was put forth by 1950 Post Road, LLC (COZR #4-2015)--was approved by the Planning and Zoning Commission on November 24, 2015, and takes effect on Sunday, December 13, 2015.  It revises Sections 600, 604, and 605.

Amendment #47 was put forth by Atria, and revises Sections 664, 667, and 668. It takes effect on Sunday, February 28, 2016.

Amendment #48 (to be posted on or about February 25, 2016) was approved by the Planning and Zoning Commission on February 9, 2016, and takes effect on Sunday, February 28, 2016.  It revises Sections 210, 230, 334, 371, and others.

Amendment #49 regarding Appendix B--Land Use application fees was approved by the RTM on February 22, 2016 and takes effect on Sunday April 24, 2016. 

Amendment #50 regarding Parklands office park was approved by the Planning and Zoning Commission on April 5, 2016 and took effect on April 17, 2016.

Amendment #51 regarding the 3.7AH zone and self-storage facilities was approved by the Planning and Zoning Commission on April 5, 2016 and took effect on April 17, 2016.

Recently Adopted Zoning Map Amendments

Proposal COZM#1-2015, Kensett: was approved by the Commission on November 10, 2015 and took effect December 13, 2015.

Proposal COZM#2-2015 and COZR #4-2015,1950 Post Road LLC: was approved by the Commission on November 24, 2015 and took effect on December 13, 2015.

Proposal to rezone Parklands office park was adopted by the Planning & Zoning Commission and took effect on April 17, 2016.

Other pending zoning regulation amendment proposals.  The public hearings on these three proposals was on April 5, 2016.  Decisions expected in late April or early May 2016.

COZR #4-2016 put forth by Knobel Hill, LLC to modify Section 430 et. seq.  Public hearing was held on April 5, 2016.

COZR #5-2016 put forth by Darien ALF Property, LLC to modify Section 627. Public Hearing was held on April 5, 2016.

COZR #6-2016 put forth by Noroton Heights Shopping Center Inc. and FR Darien, LLC to modify Sections 680, 905 and 907.  Public Hearing was held on April 5, 2016 and continued to May 3, 2016.  The PowerPoint Presentation on April 5 is here.  

COZR #7-2016 put forth by Baywater Properties to amend the zoning map and regulations regarding the Corbin Block in Downtown Darien.  The public hearing will be held on May 17, 2016 in the Town Hall Auditorium at 8pm.

COZR #9-2016 was put forth by Darien ALF Property, LLC/Maplewood Darien, 599 Boston Post Road. The public hearing on this will be held on Thursday, May 5, 2016 at 8pm in Darien Town Hall.
