Pear Tree and Weed Beaches are open for swimming.  Darien recreational shellfishing is also open.

Residents of Darien can call the hotline, which will be updated every week, to find out if the 2 town beaches, Weed and Pear Tree Point, are open for swimming. The Health Dept. will be conducting weekly water samplings to determine bacterial quality at the above beaches through Labor Day.

Please be advised that rainfall events of 1 inch or more during a 24-hour period will result in closure of bathing beaches.
