Welcome to Weed Beach Park

Weed Beach is truly a fantastic place to visit, go for a swim or just spend the day relaxing.  Weed Beach encompasses 22 acres off Nearwater Lane (just off Rte. 1).  The park includes a bathing area, picnic areas, 6 tennis courts (home to the popular Future Stars Tennis Lessons), 5 paddle tennis courts, children’s play areas, a bathhouse, a fully operational concession stand, and the Darien Junior Sailing Program.

In the summer, activities at Weed Beach include sailing lessons, swimming, sunbathing, and fishing.  The Town Day Camp (run by the Youth Commission)  visits the park on a daily basis. The Park and Recreation Department's sponsored family concert series is held at Weed Beach on our new 40’ x 60’ state of the art portable stage.  In addition to our concerts, the Darien Youth Commission holds their summer concerts for the youth of Darien.

In the fall and winter, Weed Beach is open to Darien residents to relax, go for a walk, enjoy the view of Long Island Sound, play tennis or get involved in the popular sport of paddle tennis.
