| IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT PROGRAMS |
The Parks and Recreation Department reserves the right to set a minimum and maximum for each program to ensure instructor to participant ratios are maintained. The Parks and Recreation Department reserves the right to cancel any program due to insufficient enrollment.
| REGISTRATION |
Resident registration for all 2008 Fall/2009 Winter programs begins on Wednesday, September 3rd at 8:30 AM online,in the Parks and Recreation office, or by mail. Non-resident registration will began on Wednesday, September 10th. Payments must be made in full at the time of registration. Mail-in registration does not guarantee program availability. In an effort to be fair and equitable, the Parks and Recreation Department will process one registration form per person. Individuals with more than one form may re-enter line or drop off the form(s) to be processed with mail-in registrations.
| PROGRAM CLOSINGS |
Programs will not meet on the following days: September 30; October 9 -13; November 4, 11, 27 - 30; December 24 - 31; January 1, 2, 19; February 16 - 20; March 16.
| INCLEMENT WEATHER |
If programs are postponed, every attempt is made to re-schedule. You will be contacted by the Parks and Recreation Department or by the course instructor to re-schedule the misses class.
| REFUNDS |
If a program is cancelled due to
insufficient enrollment, a full refund will be given. For any other reason,
refunds will be granted up to one week from the start of the program less a $15
administration fee. If cancellations are made within one week of the program
start date, only 75% of the registration fee will be refunded. No refunds
will be granted after the start of a program.
The Darien Parks and Recreation Department strives to meet the recreational
