Town of Darien: Welcome

Dear Fellow Citizen and Web site visitor:

On behalf of the Town of Darien, I would like to extend a warm welcome to our town's Web site.

I am excited that you have chosen to visit us on the Internet. I know you will see and learn how special the Town of Darien is - to live in, work in and enjoy. Darien is a 21st century community that has maintained the charm and character of a small New England town.

Darien's excellent public school system, shoreline location and proximity to New York City make our town an attractive place to call home for our 19,000 residents. Our beautiful beaches, rolling green parks, playgrounds, top-notch library, shopping areas - Noroton Heights and Downtown Darien - and Senior Center provide activities for all to enjoy.

Darien residents are talented and active volunteers - coaches of sports teams, involved in philanthropic endeavors, firefighters, EMS volunteers with our highly regarded Post 53 and engaged in our town government. I am proud to say Darien residents care deeply about our community and work to make Darien the best that it can be.
