TOPS The Teen Options Program (TOPS) is sponsored by the Darien Youth Commission. It is endorsed by MMS and made possible through the generous involvement of the TOPS Board and many other volunteers. TOPS is committed to offer affordable, safe, fun, drug and alcohol-free activities for Darien students in 6th, 7th or 8th Grades (both public and private school students). There is a charge for each TOPS event. Participants must be registered.  Events are typically grade-level specific with the a few exceptions.

THE 2020/21 TOPS YEAR WILL LOOK LIKE NONE OTHER.  WHILE WE ALL KNOW THE VALUE & IMPORTANCE OF SOCIAL CONNECTIONS DURING A YOUNG PERSON'S LIFE, THE CURRENT ENVIRONMENT IS SUCH THAT WE CANNOT OFFER SPECIFIC SOCIAL EVENTS AT THIS TIME.

OUR PRIORITY IS TO SUPPORT THE BOE & MIDDLE SCHOOL AS THEY NAVIGATE A REOPENING PLAN THAT IS SAFE FOR EVERYONE

WE ARE FOLLOWING THE EVOLVING STATE OF CONNECTICUT RE-OPENING GUIDELINES CLOSELY AND ARE COMMITTED TO FULL COMPLIANCE.  THE TOPS GROUP HOPES TO OFFER SOME SAFE AND FUN EVENTS & ACTIVITIES FOR MIDDLE SCHOOL AGED KIDS.  THROUGH OUR STRONG PARTNERSHIPS WITH DARIEN PARENTS AND LOCAL VENDORS, WE BELIEVE WE CAN ACCOMPLISH THIS.

TO THAT END, WE ENCOURAGE ALL PARENTS TO SIGN YOUR CHILD UP FOR THE TOPS PROGRAM.  (MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED FOR PARTICIPATION AND BEGINS 8/17/20.) THIS REALLY IS A NO-BRAINER.  WHEN WE ARE ABLE TO OFFER TOPS EVENTS, YOUR CHILD WILL BE ABLE TO ATTEND WITHOUT ANY PROBLEMS.  PLEASE NOTE:  THIS YEAR, PAY-PER-EVENT MEMBERSHIP IS THE ONLY OPTION.
