DHA 2021 Board Meeting Schedule 

The Darien Housing Authority ("DHA") owns and operates The Royle at Darien (719 Boston Post Road) and, in addition to owning the land, is a partner in The Heights at Darien (24 Allen O'Neill Drive). Meetings are held the fourth Tuesday of each month.  More specific dates, agendas, minutes and information about the meetings can be found above. DHA is governed by five (5) Commissioners. Four of the Commissioners are appointed by the Board of Selectmen and the fifth is a DHA resident elected by fellow DHA residents. All DHA properties are owned, managed and operated in accordance with State and Federal regulations.

The Heights at Darien

Transformed from the Allen- O’Neill Homes, The Heights at Darien is an affordable apartment community developed in partnership with the Darien Housing Authority. Completed in 2014, and located on 10+ acres in Darien, The Heights offers renters modern apartment living close to all that Darien has to offer. Consisting of 106 high quality apartments and town houses, the development offers a community room with a business center, on- site management offices and an entertainment area for residents to enjoy. There is a mix of income restricted one, two, and three bedroom dwellings. 

The waitlist for The Heights at Darien is currently accepting applications for those whose income falls between $53,000 and $90,000 gross annually.  Additionally, interested residents may also visit website (https://theheightsdarien.com/), and complete the online preliminary application.

Leasing at The Royle: The Royle was previously known as Old Town Hall Homes

The waitlist for The Royle at Darien is currently accepting applications for adults 55+ and whose income falls between $32,000 and $90,000 gross annually.
