The Youth Commission announces plans for Summer Camp Registration!  There will again be two, three-week sessions as follows:

·        Session 1 – June 25 – July 13

·        Session 2 – July 16 – August 2

There will be three sites again based on the grade your child has completed:

·         Camp Hindley – entering Grade 1

·        Camp Royle – entering grades 2 & 3

·        Camp Mather – entering grades 4, 5 & 6 

The program, promoted as a total day-camp experience provides small group and large group activities, field trips, entertainment, athletics, arts & crafts & more!  The daily hours are 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. (w/an Early Drop-off Option as early as 8:00 a.m.)  To view sample calendars from 2011, please click on the following:

Registration begins as follows:

·         On-line & mail-in – February 13

·        In-person – February 27

(For online registration option using Visa/MasterCard, your child must be listed in the correct grade level in our system.  Additionally, client will need Client Barcode & Family Pin # to register.  If you have a problem, call 656-7388.   In the event the office is closed, your call will be returned the following business day.)   The fee this year is:

  •     $425 for one session
  •     $775 for two sessions

TOPS REGISTRATION BEGAN MONDAY, AUGUST 22.  PLEASE NOTE:  IF YOU WANT YOUR CHILD TO ATTEND ANY TOPS EVENT, YOU MUST REGISTER THEM WITH THE TOPS PROGRAM EVERY YEAR.

What is TOPS?  The Teen Options Program (TOPS) is sponsored by the Darien Youth Commission, endorsed by MMS & made possible through the generous involvement of the TOPS Board and many other parent volunteers.  TOPS is committed to offer affordable, safe, fun & drug & alcohol-free activities for Darien students in grades 6, 7 & 8 (both public & private school students.  There is a charge for each TOPS event.

On-line registration for both advance-pay membership (Visa/MasterCard) and pay-per-event membership is available for your convenience.  To register, you will need a Family Pin Number & a Client Barcode Number.  If you need this information, please call 203-656-7388 during normal business hours.  (If no one is available, your call will be returned the next business day.)  Click here for on-line registration option.

For those preferring not to register on-line, simply click on the appropriate grade listed below to download a TOPS membership form.  Completed pay-per-event membership forms may be returned to MMS (please do not send advance payment membership forms to MMS).  Forms may be returned to the Darien Youth Commission in Town Hall as well.
