Beach stickers for vehicle access to Darien's beaches are available to all Darien residents and taxpayers.  Proof of residency is required in form of current Darien motor vehicle registration.  Our online format requires you to enter accurate license plate numbers for each vehicle for which you wish to purchase a sticker.  Please do not guess plate numbers when entering info; know your plate number or have your registration on hand.  Please double-check auto-filled license plate numbers, especially if you purchased a new car recently. Once you have successfully made your purchase and we have verified your proof of residency/registration, we will mail out your beach permit.  We make every effort to do this in a timely manner, but please allow for processing time.  Please note, we do not sell beach stickers to non-taxpayers/non-residents.  Non-taxpayers may purchase a daily pass at the gate for $53 per vehicle per day via credit card/debit only. 
Please note:  2022 beach permits are valid through May 31st, 2023.

NEW THIS YEAR: We are no longer offering free replacement stickers for lost or stolen stickers. This includes stickers that may be lost in postal mail transit. To avoid the risk of your sticker being lost in postal mail transit and having to pay a replacement fee, residents do have the option to purchase beach passes in person at the Parks and Recreation Office located in room 110 of the Darien Town Hall. Free replacements are only offered if the original sticker is returned (even if in pieces) to the Darien Parks and Recreation Office. 

Did you move to Darien after September 1st, 2022?  Welcome to town!  This permit is for you.  Please note that after making your online purchase, you need to email proof of residency via copy of home purchase (deed/closing papers) or rental lease to parkrec@darienct.gov.  Please indicate "New Resident" in subject line of email.

Do you have multiple beach-goers in your family?  This is the choice for you!  Please note that if any of your vehicles were purchased after October 1st, 2022, you need to email a copy of the registration to parkrec@darienct.gov after making your online purchase.  Please indicate "New Vehicle" in Subject line of email if your vehicle was purchased after October 1st, 2022.



Darien senior citizen resident tax payers (65+) can obtain one free beach permit per family.  Just click the button above to get yours in the mail!  If you are a senior renter, you must have a Darien car registration to obtain a free beach permit.  If you moved to Darien after October 1, 2022, please email us a copy of your Darien car registration to parkrec@darienct.gov, and indicate ‘Senior Renter’ in the Subject line.



Are you a Darien taxpayer and your vehicle is not registered in Darien? It may be that you have a "company car" registered elsewhere, or for other reasons your vehicle is not registered to your Darien address.  You may also be a non-resident taxpayer (meaning you own property in Darien, but live elsewhere).  If you fit in these categories, you are entitled to purchase a beach sticker as a taxpayer.  Please note, this higher fee does not apply to new residents who have just moved to Town.  Please forward taxpaying proof in form of tax bill to parkrec@darienct.gov after making your online purchase, and indicate "Taxpayer Proof" in Subject line. 



We are reverting back to issuing a printed cardstock card to be carried by the Caregiver and shown to security guard when driving child(ren).  When using this pass, children must be in the vehicle for entry through the guard gate. This permit must be purchased by resident in their profile.  It can be purchased online but must be picked up in the Parks & Rec office, Room 110 of the Darien Town Hall.

Are you renting for the summer in Darien?  After you purchase your sticker online, please make sure to email us a copy of your rental lease to parkrec@darienct.gov.  Please indicate "Summer Resident" in subject line of email.



Are you a Darien resident and want to launch your boat at Pear Tree Point Beach?  Please make sure to purchase this permit and place it on the port side of your boat. You must also have a Beach Permit sticker on your car to enter the beach.



Do you have a mooring at Pear Tree Point Beach and appear on the Harbor Master's current 2023 mooring list?  You can store a vessel at Pear Tree Point to access your mooring with this permit.
