The purpose of the Town of Darien Web site is to provide timely information about our community, its services, and some of its activities. Many Darien organizations and businesses can be found through the Darien Community Information Network.

ALL NIGHT PARKING RESTRICTION - Effective December 1, 2014 officers will issue tickets to vehicles parked on public roads between the hours of 2:00 AM and 6:00 AM.  The purpose of this restriction is to allow the Town to clear the streets of snow during the winter months.

Pay stations will be active on Monday, June 2, 2014.  Vouchers will be sold until August 31, 2014 and will be accepted through December 31, 2014.

Information on the the replacement of Bridge No. 00315,  US Route 1 over the Noroton River, which serves as the town line between the city of Stamford and the town of Darien.  The bridge is located approximately 0.3 miles east of I-95.

The Planning & Zoning Commission is now in the process of updating the Town Plan of Conservation & Development.  This is a link to the 2014-2016 Town Plan of Conservation & Development page.


Link to the existing Flood Maps for Darien (Flood Insurance Rate Maps) as well as to the draft Flood Maps for the Stony Brook and Goodwives River areas.  The Letters of Map Revision have taken effect for these two areas in August and September 2014.  Further information and the new mapping for these areas found at www.darienct.gov/floodmaps.  Those maps are also available for review in the Planning and Zoning Office at Town Hall during regular office hours.  Property owners who wish to proceed with Letters of Map Revision for their own individual properties can get more information here.
