The purpose of the Town of Darien Web site is to provide timely information about our community, its services, and some of its activities. Many Darien organizations and businesses can be found through the Darien Community Information Network.

New CodeRED Mobile Alert Public Safety App (PSA) for iphone (Android app to follow soon).
Smart phones with the new CodeRED Mobile Alert App will be alerted with a push notification along with the voice file of the alert for up to 24 hours after being issued by any of our nationwide CodeRED clients.
This is a totally free enhancement to the CodeRED system you already have.
The CodeRED Mobile Alert App is now available in the iTunes store for free download. Android version will be released soon.

ALL NIGHT PARKING RESTRICTION
- Effective November 15, 2011, All Night Parking warning tags will be placed on all vehicles parked on public roads after 3:00 AM.
- Effective December 1, 2011, All Night Parking tickets will be issued.

There are new real estate sign regulations which every Darien property owner should be aware of if their house is on the market or soon to be on the market. The P&Z Commission decided this at their March 22, 2011 meeting. This requires that any real estate sign be on the property owner's property, which usually is 10-12 feet off of the paved roadway. It also allows a maximum size of four (4) square feet, including any "hangdowns". If you have questions regarding real estate signs, please call the Planning and Zoning Office 203-656-7351.
